Dessert- Green and Purple



Bobby and I are trying to do "Sugar Free July", so we haven't been baking vegan desserts on the weekends. Mostly we just wanted to see if we could do it, and get creative with desserts that weren't white flour/white sugar. The smoothie discovery is a positive outcome so far. My little baby food processor can grind up frozen berries and other fruit pretty well and make really good smoothies. Tonight was, from top to bottom- pineapple, almond butter, one banana, organic local kale from our CSA, frozen blackberries. A splash of unsweetened coconut milk and some of the pineapple juice from the can the pineapple came in. Bobby and I split this.



A cup filled with my half. The verdict? Delicious! Those green flecks are kale- fresh, raw kale, loaded with all sorts of good things for you, and you can't even taste it. A great dessert.
